INSTALLATION ON A HOB

When installing the screen on a hob, your tiler must allow 5mm of fall inwards towards the shower cubicle. This will assist water away from the door threshold and to stop ponding against the glass.
And remember, if your screen is to have 135 degrees intersections, the hob must be 135 degrees to allow the hinge to operate correctly.

When installing your frameless glass shower screen without a hob, the floor tiling should be set down in the shower recess by approximately 12mm and adequate fall given to the tiling in the shower.
This provides a well for the water and avoids problems with the door threshold. Again, if there is to be a 135-degree intersection, the tiling must be laid at precisely 135 degrees.
And remember, to achieve the best results with a frameless shower screen, the tiling must be extremely level, straight and plumb.

INSTALLATION WITHOUT A HOB

In the event that your bathroom floor is already tiled and no step-down is provided, we have no option but to seal the glass down on the tiled surface. This is fine for the fixed panels. However at the door we need to adhere a 10mm x 10mm perspex strip to the floor. This perspex strip is placed under the door to create a 10mm step so the water on the shower floor is contained within the shower recess doesn't just flow under the door.
We also fix a water seal to the bottom of the door to shed water off the door and back over the perspex strip into the shower recess.

This method is not as good as the step-down and should be avoided if possible.

WATER SEALING
As an optional extra, we can add a flexible water seal to the bottom of our doors. This will help prevent splash and shed water off the door into your shower.
